HMS Victory Cutter marks Remembrance Sunday 2007
The crew of HMS Victory's Cutter donned full 1805 rig to row out into Portsmouth Harbour and lay a wreath of poppies. Taking their timing from the bos'uns call on HMS Fearless, the crew tossed oars and observed the two minutes silence. The sailing master, Michael Dalton then said the words of remembrance and cast the wreath onto the waves ,"To those that set sail from Portsmouth Harbour in times of conflict and war destined never to return".
