Welcome to learning at HMS Victory.   This magnificent Georgian warship is a stimulating and exciting resource for learning about life in the past for all ages.   Through a combination of tours, object handling, creative activities and practical tasks the wooden world of sailors in Nelson’s Navy is brought vividly to life.   The learning section of the website will help you to plan your visit and choose a workshop or activity to help you get the most out of your day. You can also get some ideas for things to do before and after your trip and download resources to help you learn from HMS Victory.   How can you learn at HMS Victory?   Have a discovery visit Just walking in the footsteps of Victory's brave crew will help your class to learn about the past. Discovery visits on Victory are either Guided Tours or free flow visits. To find out more about what these different types of tour mean please go to our Visit pages.   Take part in a workshop If you want to delve a little deeper our programme of cross-curricular workshops will help your class to develop new skills and learn more about HMS Victory. Visit the pages for each of the Key Stages to find out more about what your class could do. We recommend that you have a Discovery visit as well as a workshop to place what you learn in context and visit more of the ship.   Outreach We also have some new Outreach services available which provide different ways of learning about HMS Victory.
